Bike the Barns 2010 route and rest stops This year's 62-mile route combines our priorities of safety, aesthetics, education, and newness! We bet many of your bikers out there rarely go Northeast of Madison. It's lovely - you'll see! There are a few hills, but will certainly be a pleasant shift from last year's beast. As usual, there will be farm stops with snacks and beverages. Please take careful note of the times that the stops will be ready to serve riders. If you ride super fast, do not be disappointed if the food is not ready before the scheduled time. We encourage you to bring sunscreen, water bottles, and any extra food or energy bars you may wish to have along the route. Route Map - We will be uploading a pdf of the route map to the website the week before the ride. We will also provide printed route maps at registration. Remember to bring a ziplock bag to put your map in so it doesn't get too sweaty and wash away important information. More Route & Ride Information... Prepare for the Ride - We strongly encourage you to tune up your bikes and your bodies before the ride. Support vehicles and support cyclists will be stationed throughout the ride for emergencies. No shuttle service from lunch available.
- We strongly encourage you to prepare yourselves for this ride. If you have not ridden more than 30 miles, we suggest you try a few long rides with hills between now and September 11th! Bike riders will be traveling at various paces, and there is lots of time allotted to complete each section of the ride.
